Why You Can Eat Real Cheese

If you are a fan of cheese and recently found out or suspect that you my suffer from Lactose Intolerance, don't fear! No matter how severe your intolerance is, you can eat real cheese.

Lactose is a sugar found in milk and it's really easy to tell which cheese you can and can't eat.

Here's how:

Firstly you need to read the Nutrition Information, usually on the back of the packet.

Look for the Carbohydrates and then "of which Sugars" if the sugars part is nil or zero, you can have that cheese. Obviously if the carbs bit is zero and there is no in depth detail of the sugars, you'll also be safe!

I've managed to eat a variety of cheese, check the link: Real Cheese I Can Eat.

Now depending on how much lactose you can tolerate depends on what cheese you can eat! Myself, I've got a very low tolerance, a drop would set me off. So be warned if you are like me, you must always eat the cheeses that have no carbs or sugars, trace or 0.01g per 100g will set you off - as I've sadly found out :-( Funny that isn't it?
