Ah the mighty enzyme that my body lacks.
I usually buy mine from Holland & Barrett for about £10. It's ridiculously dear! And it's not a big seller so tends to be in their offers. Got two bottles for about £10.50 last time because it was in the buy 1 get 1 for a 1p deal.
Do you find it works for you?
The only time I use it is when I'm going out for dinner. I certainly don't make a habit of using it anywhere else, as I ain't gonna risk having any lactose!
We often go out to either Chinese or Japanese restaurants and I'm usually safe there, but I always take 2 or 3. It worries me that I could get the side effects. I guess since most Orientals suffer the same problem, that's probably why I'm okay with their food.
I certainly can't have any Indian food from restaurants or takeaways. Damn the ghee and the cream. All Indian food that we have, Mr non-Lactose Intolerant makes it usually with coconut milk. Yummy yummy.
Any other places we go, I usually ask for the Vegan option as they don't understand about LI. Drives me mad in this modern world. Oh well can't have everything LOL.
If you have such a low tolerance like me, I wouldn't recommend using it to eat any lactose food. Because sometimes it doesn't work and you still feel crap. If your tolerance is higher, then you should be okay. Go for the cheesecake!!!! :-)
